Back from the Cruise

Neil and I went on a terrific cruise with Steph & Greg and Jaimie & Eddie. The cruise sailed out of Miami and went to Key West and Cozumel. We've been to both before, but we really enjoyed hanging out with our friends and being out of cell phone range.

We stayed in the Miami Beach/South Beach area the night before the cruise. The morning of the cruise we had a couple hours to walk around and appreciate the beach and walking districts. It was a very nice city to walk around. Only draw back was the large homeless population begging on the streets. As usual, I don't give cash, but donated to the local charity, Hands On Miami.

In Key West we didn't have anything specific planned, so we just walked around, poked into a few shops, and checked out one of the beaches.

In Cozumel we took an excursion to see the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. The tour guide was of Mayan descent and not only spoke Mayan, but had studied their history extensively. He was one of the best tour guides we've ever had.

Carnival room stewards leave towel creations (mostly animals) on your bed every night. I find them very cute. :-)
